D’banj has signed David ‘Davido’ Adeleke to his as yet unamed new label after meeting with the 19-year-old sensation on Wednesday, May 16. The power meeting involved “D’banj, his manager Abisagboola ’Bankulli’ Oluseun, Davido, his manager Asa Asika and father Deji Adeleke,” reported NET.
The Nigerian Entertainment Today website went on to say:
After the signing, both acts and their crew members then headed out to the weekly Industry Nite at the Oriental Hotel to celebrate. NET had earlier reported D’banj making his first ever post-Mo’Hits public appearance at the weekly gig where he gave a surprise performance with artist of the night Ikechukwu.
We’re still working to get details of the deal particulars, but sources say talks started weeks before when both acts met in the US. D’banj and Davido were both spotted at the famous stripper joint—Diamonds Of Atlanta Gentleman’s Club in Atlanta [Georgia].

SMYRNA, Ga. — Our 11Alive viewers are making difference with their tips to our Waste Watchers. We received an email from Guyiena Jones to thewasteline@11Alive.com that has resulted in change!
All week long we’ve been showing you how your taxpayer dollars, meant for needy families, are being misused at liquor stores, tobacco shops and strip clubs.
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program is supposed to help families pay for food, clothes and shelter for children.
One cashier told our Center for Investigative Action she sees the money, in the form of Electronic Benefit (EBT) Cards, abused all the time.
Grocery store worker Amber Lumpkin said she saw customers use their EBT Cards to buy items like Bud Light.
“I was pretty mad. I’ve seen people who need money and can’t get it,” she said.
Jones tipped us off to a Smyrna shop that advertises using EBT Cards for cash, beer and cigarettes. Which is why our Center for Investigative Action’s Ross McLaughlin got right on it!

Neighbors say strip club brings noise, trespassers
ATLANTA —
Neighbors in a northwest Atlanta community say noise from a newly opened strip club keeps them up at night.
People living in the Huff Heights condominiums said Diamonds of Atlanta Gentleman’s Club is loud until 3 a.m.
Gerald Lopez said people leaving the club trespass on their property.
“We do get a lot of traffic back through here. We’ve seen people urinate back here,” Lopez said.
Lopez told Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri people use the condos as a cut through.
“It’s very late at night,” he said. “It keeps most of us up trying to patrol our own neighborhood.”

Diamonds’ manager Jerrell Barron told Viteri he invested in beautifying the building, which operated as a strip club when it was previously open.
