Police believe robbery was the motive behind the fatal shooting Tuesday afternoon of a DeKalb strip club manager.
Terry Stephenson, identified by a family friend and several employees, was shot repeatedly outside the entrance of Pin Up’s, located just east of Decatur on E. Ponce De Leon Avenue. DeKalb Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish would only say the victim was a “club management level employee.”
A friend of the victim, nightclub owner Doug Cocchi, said Stephenson, a former firefighter, was en route to the bank to deposit the club’s holiday weekend profits.

Becky Chow, owner of the First Oriental Market, said she heard two sets of gunshots. She said it sounded like someone was “banging on the glass.” A customer at the store spotted a car leaving the strip club after the shooting, Chow told the AJC.

PushPush is staging select episodes live as preparation for filming in the fall, with its first broadcast online aimed at the end of the year. The Slow Down Atlanta series is about a group of out-of-work stooges who’ve started their own paranormal services company for beer money. Commissioner: No suspension for Young over fight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Thursday he has decided not to suspend Titans quarterback Vince Young over a tussle at a Dallas strip club in June.
Speaking to reporters after the Packers’ shareholders meeting in Green Bay, Wis., Goodell said he met with Young earlier this week.
“And at this stage, based on the facts that we have, I see no reason for any kind of disciplinary action. I did have a good conversation with Vince, however, about his responsibility as an NFL player. He needs to avoid putting himself in that kind of position,” Goodell said.
Young was given a misdemeanor assault citation after a fight last month that was caught on surveillance video. He quickly apologized and said he hoped he wouldn’t be suspended because he owned up to his mistake.
