Atlanta Strip Clubs: TST Interview: Hellyeah Guitarist Tom Maxwell

Though their members hail from different states, Hellyeah is based in Dallas. In other words, drummer and former Pantera sticksman Vinnie Paul’s territory. Along with singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett — both of whom form the backbone of Mudvayne, bassist Bob Zilla and former Nothingface guitarist Maxwell, Hellyeah continues to rip and tear across the metal scene.
In a fun way, of course.Having released second album Stampede on July 13 and playing Sunken Garden Theater on July 24, Hellyeah headlined the second stage of the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival last Saturday at Concrete Street Amphitheater. But just a couple hours beforehand, Maxwell took time to answer some questions aboard the band’s tour bus.
As it was my third interview in a span of 45 minutes, the camera’s juice ran out just prior to my final question: “In honor of the song Pole Rider, give me your favorite or most memorable strip-club story.” Maxwell weaved a tale of 85 strippers doing their thing. Your imagination can take care of the rest.
