Konvict Muzik rap artist Dolla was shot and killed on May 18th, 2009 when a bullet wound pierced his heart at a valet parking and Auto Detailing lounge area in Los Angeles, California. The trial to determine the fate of his alleged killer began yesterday, according to MSNBC. The 24-year-old Aubrey Louis Berry was detained at the Los Angeles International Airport without a struggle and he has pled not guilty on two charges of assault with a deadly weapon as well as one count of murder.
The killing resulted from a feud that Berry and Dolla, whose legal name was Roderick Anthony Burton II, were involved in during the two weeks prior to Burtons death. A physical altercation took place between Berry and Burton at an Atlanta based strip club two weeks before the killing occurred and prosecuting attorney Robert Grace revealed that the defendant fired eight shots at Burton as well as the two friends who were with him at the time of his death.
