The house was not intended to pay homage to any football team, according to owner T. Ruben Jones, who just liked the colors. But it stands out among its more dignified neighbors like a stripper at a Piedmont Driving Club debutante ball.
There was a photo accompanying the story that makes it hard to believe anyone could possibly think the house attractive in its new coat of garish colors. But Jones isn’t concerned that the neighbors don’t like his taste in house paint. He knew it would shock people but he doesn’t care. And some of his more supportive neighbors don’t think he should have to.
