In 2004, the Red Storm was already having a poor season. They had a dismal 5-14 record and not much got better on Feb. 4, 2004. After an embarrassing 71-51 loss to Pittsburgh, five players took a 38-year-old woman they had met in a strip club back to their hotel room. The next morning, the woman alleged that the players had raped her. One of the players, though, had recorded some of the proceedings on his digital camera. The woman was recorded saying that she would file for rape unless she was paid for sex and was then charged with prostitution counts. Three players were kicked off the team and two were suspended for the rest of the season.
