DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a professional wrestler who also worked as a bouncer at a strip club.
Ahamad R. Gill, 31, was taken into custody at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at a townhome in Stone Mountain in connection with the Nov. 21 shooting.
Police said Chris Long was shot while protecting a pair of women at Shooter Alley on Buford Highway.
Witnesses told Channel 2 Action News that a few customers got out of hand at the club, and Long kicked them out of the business. Police said the group, including Gill, returned to the club and opened fire.
A close friend told Channel 2 that Long worked at the club to earn extra money for his family.
