Students Arraigned in Ex-teacher Trial

ATLANTA – The trial of a DeKalb County chorus teacher accused of allowing students perform a strip tease in his classroom took an unexpected turn Monday.
Several students who came to court to testify on behalf of Nathan Grigsby learned that they too face charges.
The judge arraigned them on public indecency charges and assigned them public defenders.
Prosecutors said the former Southwest DeKalb High School teacher didn’t do enough to prevent his students from performing what they call a “lewd and provocative dance.”
A recording of the dance ended up on the internet.
Nathan Grigsby is charged with five counts of contributing to the depravation of a minor. He has plead not guilty to the charges.
