Federal judge charged with buying drugs from stripper
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A U.S. District Judge serving North Georgia appeared on the wrong side of a docket Monday, charged with buying cocaine and other narcotics from a stripper at a club in Atlanta.
Jack Camp, who has been a federal judge since 1988, had his bond set at $50,000 during a Monday afternoon arraignment. Camp was arrested by FBI agents on Friday, and was detained over the weekend at an undisclosed location, according to U.S. Marshal Richard Mechum.
According to the complaint filed in court, Camp is charged with buying drugs, including cocaine, from a stripper at the Goldrush Show Bar on Metropolitan Parkway. The stripper is an informant for the FBI, the affadavit stated. The woman said Camp had bought and used drugs with her on several occasions, starting earlier this year when Camp was a customer at the club.
