Atlanta Strip Clubs: Ex-Girlfriend Says Former Federal Judge in Georgia Was Racist

Jack T. Camp, the former chief judge of the Northern District of Georgia, bought drugs for a stripper who was an FBI informant. He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession and one count of conversion of government property. His sentencing is scheduled for March 2011.
On Thursday, Atlanta U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a statement that her office, which recused itself from the case, sought information from the prosecutors in the Justice Department’s public integrity unit. They did this, according to the statement, because her office was “concerned that there may be facts underlying the charges or learned during the course of the investigation that call into question the manner in which Camp performed his judicial duties and should be disclosed to defendants  prosecuted before Camp.”

Yates said a female witness stated that Camp told her that, when black men appeared before him in court, he had difficulty adjudicating their cases and sentencing them. The Journal-Constitution identified the witness as Camp’s stripper-girlfriend,  Sherry Ann Ramos.
