ATLANTA – Former federal Judge Jack Camp’s career ended after an apparent relationship with a stripper and a conviction of drug possession. Now, the U.S. attorney’s office is reviewing more than a dozen cases handled by Camp.
U.S. Attorney Sally Yates announced allegations Thursday that Camp may have shown racial bias when sentencing defendants earlier this year. Atlanta defense attorney Bruce Harvey said he believes one of his clients’ cases may have been affected by the judge’s sentencing.
According to Yates, the latest allegations against Camp stem from FBI interviews with a witness who had a personal relationship to the judge. Yates said the woman told investigators Camp had a problem with one particular black defendant that went beyond one man.

The 67-year-old Camp was convicted of drug possession amid allegations he paid for sex during a several month relationship with stripper Sherry Ann Ramos.
