Atlanta Strip Clubs: Easy Reads on the Beach

Despite witty moments, the reader is blue balled as well. You’ll Never Blue Ball focuses on McDonald’s dating adventures in 1990s LA, minus one key ingredient: sex. McDonald willingly remained a virgin until 27. The book highlights this unorthodox journey, profiling the upsetting of a sexual norm. One would expect to find meaning and lessons gained from such a journey. Sadly, McDonald’s story at times proves vapid as a one-night stand.
McDonald, a roundtable regular and writer on the E! network’s “Chelsea Lately,” cracked the prestigious New York Times Bestsellers’ List in June.
The book chronicles McDonald’s blue-ball victims from her late teens to the present, with a heavy chunk of time spent on her college years at USC.
Readers unfamiliar with narcissistic sorority culture will find themselves a bit lost early on. The first chapter, entitled “Can’t a Girl Dress Like a Hooker, Dance Like a Stripper, and Kiss Like a Porn Star and Still Be a Nineteen-Year-Old-Virgin?” recounts her relationship with Kevin, the initial blue ballee.
