(USA Today) — Last November, Josh Duhamel’s live changed.
After walking into a strip club in Atlanta while shooting Life as We Know It, he walked out branded a cheater by The National Enquirer. With a stripper alleging his infidelity, Duhamel’s face was plastered on magazine covers for months, not unlike the tumult Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are facing today.
Now, Duhamel admits to USA TODAY’s Andrea Mandell that he made a mistake going into a strip club, but draws the line there. “That was …” he trails off, his face falling and his eyes wet. “Definitely one of the most difficult periods I’ve ever been through.”
His words hang in the air as he thumbs away tears. “Oh man, I’m sorry,” he says. “I walked into that place and I never should have done that. That was my mistake, you know, and I’ll never do it again. But you can’t help what people are going to do, and you can’t tell what people are going to do for money. That was the biggest thing I learned,” he says, his baseball cap twisted in his hands.
