Reports confirm that The Fulton County prosecutor’s office in Atlanta, Georgia has ruled out manslaughter as the cause of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell’s – fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star Kandi Burruss – death.
The shocking news of the sudden passing of A.J. Jewell in October of last year sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. Known as the fiancé of Kandi Burress who was a member of the hit 90’s R&B group Xscape, Jewell reportedly died after succumbing to injuries sustained during a brawl with Fredrick Richardson – manager of Atlanta strip club Body Tap.
Many believed that A.J. died because of head injuries that were caused by Fredrick during their physical altercation, but The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office ruled that A.J. had instead died because of a sickle cell crisis caused by his sickle cell anemia condition which resulted in them dropping the voluntary manslaughter charges.
