Atlanta Strip Clubs: Clermont Hotel Residents Forced To Move Out

The McCormacks are trying to figure out where theyll live now. Its been our home for a little over a year, and I really enjoyed it, and Im going to miss the hotel, said Billy McCormack.
We were trying to get into an apartment, said his wife. But when you dont have money and you dont have any credit, it makes it rough. But the good Lord will take care of us, she said.
Fulton County’s Health and Human Serivces department offered vouchers to all 22 of the hotel’s residents. The vouchers are for temporary housing an another hotel, according to Ericka Davis, a Fulton County government spokeswoman. Some residents, including the McCormacks, declined the county’s offer.
The quirky Clermont Lounge, located in the hotel basement, will remain open. The lounge was not inspected because operators of the club, famous for its not-so-young strippers, lease the space.
