ATLANTA, March 10 (UPI) — The 15-year-old daughter of reality TV personality A.J. Jewell is in critical condition after she was shot in the head, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.
Police told the newspaper the girl was a passenger in a car involved in what was believed to have been a road-rage incident Saturday night. As of Wednesday, no arrests had been made.
“Investigators are looking into every possible motive as well as attempting to gain surveillance video from surrounding businesses for a closer description of the perpetrators’ vehicle,” Det. Melissa Parker told the Journal-Constitution.
Fox 5 Atlanta identified the girl as Asheley Jewell.
Her father, A.J. Jewell, appeared on TV’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” because he was the former fiance of cast member Kandi Burruss. He died of a sickle-cell crisis after a 2009 altercation outside an Atlanta strip club.
