Massage Parlor Suspect Enters Guilty Plea
More than two dozen people were arrested last summer after Macon police and Bibb County’s Sheriff’s office raided their massage parlor businesses.
Their charges include operating a house of prostitution, masturbation for hire and prostitution.
State Court Prosecutor Rebecca Grist expected several suspects from those arrests to plead guilty Tuesday afternoon, but only one of them entered a guilty plea.

State Court Prosecutor Rebecca Grist says she was disappointed most of the suspects backed out. She says the average misdemeanor case wraps up in three months and they’ve been working on some of the massage parlor cases for about a year.

Grist says besides the seven suspects who backed out today, about seven massage parlor cases are still pending, about five people have bench warrants for failing to appear in court and several are out of state.
