Atlanta Escorts: When Strippers and Children’s Entertainment Collide
Posted on August 11th, 2009 in Atlanta escorts
Nothing is quite so offputting as when something you, as a responsible adult, enjoy in privacy and away from the prying eyes of “polite” society gets outed in a creepy, uncomfortable way that makes you reflexively feel bad as a human being. It doesn’t happen often but when it does, it’s uncool. It happens when you find out a friend’s daughter is now an escort and you have that dread that she may come to your room one day. Or worse, your own daughter. It’s the feeling you get when you find your mom’s sex toy stash, confirming your darkest fear that she’s still into getting busy after all these years. It’s the sense of unease you feel when you’re looking at porn online and you find pictures of someone you know. Creepy.
Also high on the creepy scale is when something like stripping gets melded so seamlessly with children’s entertainment as it did at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, a show that lets people who think the Jonas Brothers are cool vote on who has talent in the entertainment industry. It’s not a terrible idea or anything, just one that leads to things like Miley Cyrus pole dancing.
Indeed, Billy Ray’s daughter, also known as Hannah Montana, decided the best way to reach her pre-teen audience was swinging around the stripper pole during a song, live and on stage. And normally that’s cool but this was so obviously not normal. A 16 year old Disney celebrity in front of a room full of children pole dancing is wrong on so many levels its surprising the fabric of reality didn’t tear ever so slightly and swallow the entire theatre.
