“Atlanta  has the unfortunate distinction of being one of the centers for sex trafficking in the United States,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Mr. John Horn told The Atlanta Jouranl-Constitution. “You have these women who were kept in prostitution against their will … by extremely brutal force.”

Investigators said the suspects used Internet sites such as Backpage and Craigslist to recruit the women into working as prostitutes in a family-like atmosphere. Instead they were beaten, raped and force to become sex slaves.
“Sex trafficking is unfortunately one of Atlanta’s most significant criminal problems. This case, like many, contains allegations of the defendants brutally assaulting women to force them into acts of prostitution in three states,” U.S. Attorney Mrs. Sally Quillian Yates said.

The two then allegedly forced them into prostitution in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, Alabama and North Carolina, U. S. Attorney’s spokesman Mr. Patrick Crosby said.
