Atlanta Escorts: September is National Alcohl and Drug Addiction Recovery Month
Posted on September 13th, 2010 in Atlanta escorts
Homeless drug and alcohol addicts have reached a point in their lives that few of us can imagine. Most have severely damaged relationships with family and friends, the result of too many lies, stealing, and broken promises. No money, no job, no place to live, no hope, and a terrible hunger for drugs or alcohol to make all the pain go away, if only for a little while.
For women in this situation, their lives frequently involve being abused as children, dysfunctional lives as young adults, and, as parents, loss of their children. They often are forced to rely on abusive, addicted spouses or boyfriends for support. Sales of illegal drugs, prostitution, theft, domestic violence, and prison are common experiences. Sometimes even jail becomes an attractive alternative and some of these women have been known to turn themselves in to authorities in a desperate attempt to find shelter and break the cycle of addiction and hopelessness.
