Coca-Cola, one of Wayne Rooney’s key sponsors, was said to be on the verge of ditching him, the Daily Mail reported.
According to the report, American bosses at Coca-Cola’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, are horrified and bewildered by his reported use of prostitutes.
They were also angry when Rooney – who advertises Coca-Cola Powerade – was photographed in June smoking, urinating against a wall and singing raucously.
However, the latest allegations have left them believing ‘enough is enough,’ the report said.
Rooney earns about $4 million(￡2.5 million) a year from four sponsors including Coca-Cola and Nike.
