NORCROSS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Norcross Police conducted a sting operation over the weekend to crackdown on illegal escort services operating in the city.
Sgt. Bill Grogan told CBS Atlanta News that 11 people were arrested Saturday for escorting without a license and operating without a business license. Grogan said the escorts offered sexual favors for money. They advertised their services online.
“We don’t want you in our city and by doing this we are actually showing and telling them that we mean business that we are going to enforce the laws and the city ordinances that you can’t escort without a permit here in the city,” said Grogan.
The sting operation was set up at a home off of Beaver Ruin Road. Police said that the suspects traveled to Norcross from Atlanta, College Park, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Lithonia, Marietta, Smyrna and Snellville.
