MARIETTA — The Metro Atlanta Child Exploitation Task Force conducted a prostitution sting Friday night at several motels in the Franklin Road-Delk Road area of Marietta, that resulted in the arrests of 14 adults on various charges of prostitution, pimping and drugs.
Marietta Police Department is a member of the task force, which focuses on juvenile victims of prostitution. The primary focus of the task force is to locate, identify and rescue juveniles that are being trafficked and exploited through prostitution.
A release sent by Marietta police noted that although no juvenile aged victims were recovered during this operation, all of the women arrested were between the ages of 19 and 23, and one of the females stated that she had been prostituting since the age of 15. One female was arrested for prostitution and pimping.
