Johns Creek police release 911 call girl made while hiding from burglars
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Johns Creek officials have released the dramatic 911 call made by a 13-year-old girl who was home alone when burglars broke in.
Hiding in her mom’s bedroom closet, the teen texted “OMG someone is in the house” to her mom, a schoolteacher.
Then the burglar came upstairs, opened the closet, and “he screamed, we both screamed,” the teen told WSB-TV. He asked if she had called 911. When she said no, the man grabbed the phone and ran.
The girl called 911 from the home phone.
“I’m the only one at my house right now. I’m really scared, help me please!” she told the 911 operator the afternoon of May 3. “Come quick!”
The operator took the address, assured her police were on the way and continued to question her.
