Neighborhood Church Takes To Streets To Turn Around Community

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Members of Solomon’s Porch Ministries knew that if they were going to turn around their neighborhood and push out the drugs, prostitution and crime, change had to start with them.
Little by little, they hope something as simple as picking up trash will make a big difference in the Belvedere community in Dekalb County.
Pastor Phillip Mosby said, “I think one of the things crime, criminals like is they like dirt. They like to hang out in dark and dirty places, so we need to clean up the community.”
Solomon’s Porch may be working in the area as a church, but they say their mission is to get the entire community involved.
