City Lawyers Want to Rewrite Escort Law

ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) – City lawyers said Tuesday they need to rewrite a law that permits escort services in Atlanta.
City lawyers said they determined that the current ordinance can be interpreted as the city giving sanction to sexual conduct for hire.
As the law exists right now, it allows paid sex as long as it’s in a hotel or somewhere that is not on the street.
The city’s lawyers are proposing new language for an escort permit that would strictly forbid paid sex anywhere.
