Business owners who petition to establish an adult business in town limits must adhere to the new ordinance that was also approved last Thursday. So far, no business owners have requested to set up in Tyrone, Newbern said. However, the ordinance is in place in case someone decides to settle in Tyrone. Adult businesses must be located 1000 feet from residential districts, public parks, recreation areas, schools and religious institutions, as part of the ordinance. A cell tower ordinance was also approved to accommodate the projected increase of wireless technologies, officials added.
