During his testimony, A.G. said he signed the affidavit knowing the age was wrong because he hope it would “make things go away.”
Private investigator Jim Persinger, of Cobb County, Ga. was granted status as an expert witness in matters relating to digital computer and phone records. Persinger described how he had verified the authenticity of the times and dates of several messages.
Under cross examination by U.S. Attorney Richard Moultrie, Persinger testified that none of the computer or cell phone text evidence presented between Lebowitz and three of his alleged victims had been “deleted, altered or changed.”
Lebowitz did not testify in his own defense.
Lebowitz was arrested in Coweta in November 2006 after allegedly soliciting sex from a teenage boy in Coweta County he met on the Internet when the teen was a sophomore at East Coweta High School.
