Prostitutes, Drug Dealers Targets For New Program

ATLANTA — Atlanta police launched a new campaign in south west Atlanta, and they need your help.
The program is called Positive Loitering, and they’re recruiting neighbors like you to join their fight.
But our tough question is, are volunteers putting their own safety at risk?

District Attorney Paul Howard said the program is something he saw work well in Chicago. He said the aim is to place volunteers along sidewalks in order to drive out prostitutes and drug dealers.

While neighbors here think this kind of partnership is way past due, others say criminals will just move to other neighborhoods and go right back to prostitution and dealing drugs.
