ATLANTA — Residents in Atlanta’s old fourth ward turned to CBS Atlanta News on Tuesday after years of trying to get the city to eliminate a dangerous property in their neighborhood that is not only an eyesore, but a haven for crime.
“It’s just scary, everyday I’m dealing with the same fear and I think 10 years is long enough to deal with any issue of this matter,” said resident Natalie Brown.
Brown lives next door to 523 Irwin St. The city deemed the property unsafe, but Brown said it hasn’t kept drug dealers out.
“It’s become a breeding ground for illegal drug activity and prostitution and for all sorts of illicit activity,” said Brown.
