Atlanta Adult Entertainment: DOWNTOWN | Two-month update on the Bluff

ATLANTA — It was about two months ago that we first aired our series about The Bluff in English Avenue near Downtown Atlanta.
The blighted community, where more than half the house are empty and abandoned, is known as an incubator for drugs, prostitution, and other types of crime.
Reactions ran the gamut from shock, praise, and even anger that we exposed the horrific conditions there.
But nearly as swift was the reaction from local officials who so far have made good on their word to try and do something about it.
“This neighborhood has been on the federal red zone for high crime for the last twenty years,” said Michael Bond, chair of Atlanta’s Public Safety Committee. “The neighborhood is the adjacent neighborhood from where I grew up, and it is much much worse now than it was when it was supposedly a tough neighborhood when I was a teenager.”
