Coach, teacher busted in prostitution sting
LAWRENCEVILLE – A coach and teacher at Apalachee High School in Winder is free on bond after being arrested on prostitution-related charges.
Tom Wallace was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail early Friday and released that afternoon.
Gwinnett police say the 39-year-old Wallace was arrested during a prostitution sting at a hotel on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth.
According to the incident report, Gwinnett vice investigators were conducting an undercover “in-call pandering sting” at the time.
“An undercover officer was contacted by the suspect after he saw her advertisement on the Internet,” the report says. “The suspect agreed to meet the officer at a hotel, where he offered her money for sex.”
Wallace, who lives in Loganville, was charged with pandering.
